21st Longhorn Invitational Team Kendo Taikai and SWKIF Shinsa
It has been eight years since CSKK has been able to field a dojo team for a federation event.
For the Longhorn Invitational Taikai, participation and enjoyment of the tournament atmosphere with our fellow dojo-mates was wonderful.
We fielded an adult team and also two of younger members fought in the individual division (ages 12-17 years).
CSKK sends their congratulations to the winners of the taikai, Houston Kendo Kyokai B team and to the winners of the junior division. We also want to send our thanks and gratitude to Austin Kendo Doshikai for hosting this wonderful event.
Family-Friendly Second Dojo
After practice on July 21st, members of CSKK and their family stopped by a Colorado Springs local landmark, BJ's Velvet Freez. Always a summer favorite for a welcome ice cream treat. This night we were all especially appreciative since it was the hottest practice of the summer.
Thank you Springs Kendoka for making it through a very hot and challenging summer!
